The CSO’s annual holiday program returns featuring special guest vocalist Michele Ragusa, Broadway and stage star.  She will perform songs such as “Winter Wonderland”, “When You Believe”, and “Santa Baby”.  Of course, you’ll want to join in with our annual sing-a-long, and enjoy appearances by Santa and other special guests. Sponsored by First Tennessee Foundation.

Also features the bassoon section in "Bassoon it Will Be Christmas"!

Friday Family Pops Concert Ÿ| December 2, 2016

This concert is a musical celebration of all things American. Tribute will be paid to everything from the flag, jazz, bluegrass, baseball, cowboys, and the Grand Canyon, to great iconic Americans like Lincoln, John Wayne, Martin Luther King, Jr., and, yes, even Elvis. (He was “the King” after all.) Included will be the music of John Williams, Aaron Copland, Ferde Grofe, and many more.

An Evening of Rochberg, Chopin, & Brahms

Masterworks Series | ŸNovember 19, 2016

Brilliant pianist Claire Huangci returns to the CSO to present her specialty, the ultra-lyrical music of Chopin. Her performance is book-ended by two compositions that reflect the profound influence of Beethoven, a piece for strings by American composer George Rochberg, and a monumental symphony by Brahms.

Rochberg: Transcendental Variations
Chopin: Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor, Op. 21
Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 68
